Earlier this month, Second Harvest Food Bank’s Chuck Harmon set off on a 250-mile Hike to End Summer Hunger. Chuck is following the Mountain to Sea Trail from Boone to Burlington– the same distance our food travels every day.
So far, Chuck and other supporters of Second Harvest have made their way through 7 of the 18 counties in our service area: Watauga, Ashe, Wilkes, Alleghany, Surry, Yadkin and Stokes. To learn more about our work in these areas and our on-the-ground partner agencies visit www.hungernwnc.org
