Be a Community Partner
feed community with us!
Everyone has a role to play in ending hunger.
From Boone to Burlington, we are grateful for the support of local businesses and organizations from across the 18 counties that we serve. Second Harvest offers a variety of ways for your team to get involved in our work throughout the year
We have loads of ways you can engage with our mission and support our work, all while connecting with your colleagues.
Food for thought: Host your early afternoon team gathering in one of meeting spaces complimented by a meal prepared by our Providence Catering team (proceeds support our culinary training program)...then wrap up up your time together spending an impactful two hours helping to sort food in our warehouse or prepare and pack meals in kitchen.
What's your big idea? We'd love to hear it!
More Food For Thought...
Host a Food Drive
Businesses and organizations large and small can raise food and funds for Second Harvest by hosting food drives. Some companies create friendly competitions to increase employee engagement; others host public food drives to increase awareness. We also offer an awesome Virtual Food Drive opportunity.
No matter the size of your team, volunteering at Second Harvest is an impactful team-building exercise. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities in our centrally-located, Winston-Salem based facilities.
We can turn every $10 your company donates into up to 70 meals to make a huge impact in your community. Second Harvest celebrates all gifts made to our mission, from small employee fund drives to larger gifts that fund specific initiatives.
Sponsor an Event
Whether it is buying tickets to send your team to Empty Bowls, or becoming a lead sponsor on one of our three signature fundraising events, Second Harvest has sponsorship levels that will fit your organization's budget.
Let us help you come up with a plan that fits your mission, team, goals, and resources!
