
Participation Criteria
Who can join the Second Harvest network?
Second Harvest Network Partners are:
- Located within our 18 county service region.

501(c)(3) charitable organizations that distribute food directly to community members.

Open to all people.

Licensed or certified by all appropriate health authorities, as required. 
Second Harvest Network Partners have:

Resources to obtain additional items from other sources for their programs.

An established process to screen clients, keep accurate records on individuals served, and established procedures for serving community members (including times, days, amounts, etc.).

Transportation and personnel to pick up and load product from the Second Harvest Food Bank warehouse, plus tarps and tie-downs for open-bed vehicles.

Adequate refrigeration and/or storage space to ensure the integrity of the product until used and/or distributed.

An established agency building (not a private residence or mobile unit without climate controls) to store products.
Second Harvest Network Partners agree to:

Provide monthly statistics to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Participate in a bi-annual (or when appropriate) on-site monitoring visit by Second Harvest Food Bank staff.

Support Second Harvest Food Bank through the payment of applicable handling fees.
