STORE RESCUE PROGRAM
FEEDING COMMUNITY TOGETHER
The Store Rescue Program is a partnership between Feeding America Food Banks like Second Harvest and retail grocery stores that provide nutritional support for people experiencing food insecurity.
How Does It Work?
To be eligible to participate in Second Harvest's Store Rescue Program, partner agencies must:
Distribute food a minimum of once per week.
Be in good standing
Participate in required training sessions
Transport perishable product using approved, temperature-controlled devices
Adhere to the agreed upon pick-up schedule. Your program's assigned pick-up days must be within a day or two of your food distribution day(s).
Wear ID badges issued by Second Harvest
Complete a monthly report
