Every day, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC works to build food-secure, healthy communities alongside 515+ partner food assistance programs serving 18 Northwest North Carolina counties. When you become a Meal Maker, you entrust Second Harvest to direct your gifts to where they are needed most.

Second Harvest is proud to announce the launch of our new volunteer app! Partnering with Bloomerang Volunteers, this innovative app is set to streamline the volunteer experience for supporters of Second Harvest. 

Second Harvest has volunteer opportunities nearly every day. Whether that means we’ll find you in the Community Meals kitchen packing up trays for children and seniors, inspecting donations in the warehouse, catching rays and tending beds in the Fitzgerald Teaching Garden (seasonally), or helping out in the office, you’ll be part of a community of people working together to feed hope, health, and opportunity…because we’re all better off when everyone can access the healthy food they need to live their healthiest, best life.
