cooking matters classes
Second Harvest is proud to partner with Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters© team to bring our community a variety of educational courses. Each 1-2 hour class is designed to teach participants how to select and prepare healthy, budget-friendly foods to maximize nutritional value and minimize cost.
Classes are offered as an interactive six-week series or as one-time offerings through in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Choose the format that meets your needs.
Just want the facts without the cooking? Our Nutrition Educators are available to present on all topics related to healthy living including reading food labels, choosing healthier options at restaurants, exercise tips, food safety, and more.
Workshops are offered in virtual, in-person, or hybrid formats.
Our Nutrition Educators can provide 20-30 minute demonstrations of recipes and nutrition tips at events hosted by our partners - whether in-person or virtually.
Find valuable tips, tools, and information in Nutrition Nibbles, a quarterly Enewsletter compiled by Nutrition Services.
