Stand With Us. Nourish What Matters. At a time when many of our neighbors are being cut off from access to food and stability, our community is stepping up to help. September is Hunger Action Month, and this year, action isn’t optional.
The number of people requesting food assistance from our network has doubled from just three years ago and the largest cuts to SNAP and Medicaid in history were recently signed into law. Now is the time to come together and meet this moment with action.
At Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, we believe in a future where everyone is nourished with food, with dignity, and with opportunity. We’re calling on every neighbor, partner, volunteer, and supporter to stand up and show up for what matters. Because everyone deserves to eat, and some things are worth standing up for.
That’s why we’ve put together 30 Ways in 30 Days—a simple, daily guide to help you take action all month long. From volunteering and advocacy to gratitude and generosity, every action adds up to a stronger, healthier, hunger-free communities for all.
